Tenacious Tammy

UPDATE 1/17/24

As many of you are aware, Tammy continues her battle with lung cancer. She has mets in her liver and they have also metastasized to her brain again. She is undergoing treatment, but could use all the support from family and friends. She has been unable to work since May. Any donation would be appreciated. If you are unable to donate, you could simply give her a call or shoot her a text to lift her spirits. Small things do not go unnoticed.

❤️❤️ UPDATE 6/11/23. Radiation therapy is complete and, as you can see, Tammy's hair was falling out so she went ahead and shaved it off. Chemotherapy begins this week and she will continue to travel 5 days a week for chemo treatments. Her cancer is very aggressive. She is unable to work and any help would be appreciated. Tammy has been a nurse in the community for nearly 20 years. Let's return the favor and help her. ❤️❤️❤️. Hi. My name is Amanda. I'm starting this fundraiser to raise money for my friend, Tammy who was diagnosed with lung cancer a few days ago and is admitted to SGHS. Tammy has been sick since January and was diagnosed with upper respiratory infections and pneumonia. At the end of January she had a CT and a small mass was discovered on her left lung. She was referred to a pulmonologist, which took over a month to get an appointment with. She had a biopsy in March and on March 30 she was told it was BENIGN and was referred to an ENT for her sore throat and hoarse, raspy voice. On Wednesday, May 17th she had severe pain in her back and went to the ER at SGHS Brunswick. Another CT scan was done and the mass is now 23 centimeters and is wrapped around her pulmonary artery. A biopsy was done and she was told she has small cell lung cancer. They did a MRI of her brain on Friday and she received results this morning that it has metastasized to her brain. Needless to say, she will not be returning to work on Monday as she had hoped. She has a long fight ahead with lots of radiation and chemotherapy. Any monetary help would be greatly appreciated.
