Rebuilding Nepal

Namaste Friends,
My childhood home, Nepal, is in rubbles following the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015. It is heart wrenching to see all the loss and devastation. I so wish I could go there and help, but I cannot. I have found a trustworthy local organization that is already on the ground in Nepal making a large difference. It needs our financial support.
My high school friend, Nripal, has worked for years in Nepal with sustainable building materials such as bamboo and adobe. In order to address the devastation caused by the earthquake, his team is already making large canvas and bamboo tents and sending them to be used as shelters in the most affected areas, especially for use in medical camps. They are donating their time and expertise, but they need financial help to acquire the materials for these tents and get them where they are most needed.
One of the regions where Nripal is focusing his efforts is the Gorkha district west of Kathmandu, which was near the epicenter of the earthquake. This is particularly meaningful to me because my maternal grandmother is from Gorkha. One of my fondest childhood memories is traveling from Kathmandu and visiting my grandmother's village in Gorkha. It is a beautiful rural region, and I felt such genuine warmth and love from the people there. I want to give back.
The materials for each tent costs 30,000 Nepali Rupees, which is about US$300. My goal is to raise US$3,000 to pay for the materials for ten tents so that Nripal’s team can make these tents and get them quickly to the people most in need. Please help in any way you can, whether it be $300 to pay for one tent, or $100, $30, or $3 to pool with the contributions of others to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every bit helps.
Dhanyabad (thank you).
