Tenzin’s Fan Club

Hi my name is Catherine and I started this page for my close friend Colleen. Colleen is a single mother of two wonderful children.  Her youngest son Tenzin was recently diagnosed with T-ALL leukemia. Tenzin’s mothers Colleen and Chris have been at the hospital around the clock, and appreciate all the love and support you have given to their son. 

 

Tenzin was taken to the ED at Stony Brook Children’s on Thursday morning after a week of bouncing around doctor visits, urgent care and an ED visit trying to figure out why he was vomiting, was super lethargic, coughing, and had extremely dry cracking and bleeding lips. After a blood panel he was admitted into the Pediatric ICU with concerns over his extremely high white blood cell count indicating some form of leukemia.

 

He underwent a procedure to reduce the amount of white blood cells that his body didn’t enjoy much. After a tumultuous night trying to keep his blood pressure up and potassium levels down, he finally began to even out.

 

Update from the doctors this morning brought the news that he has T-ALL Leukemia and he’s embarking on approximately at 2 year adventure with the first few months being the most intense.

 

Tenzin is a superstar and has put up with endless poking and prodding. He’s the hangriest grump because he’s not allowed to eat or drink anything leading up to these procedures.
