Tereasa Callaway’s Memorial Fund
On behalf of the Callaway family, I am setting up a GoFundMe to help support my family with unexpected costs associated with this unfortunate tragedy. I am Tereasa’s oldest living son, who along with my siblings, father, and family are beyond devastated by this loss.
My mother, Tereasa Callaway was the matriarch of our family, who had an infectious smile, decorated personality, and loved to cook and take care of others. She always put others before herself, even in her final moments, and that will stick with us forever!
On July 14th, 2021, Tereasa passed away in an accident as she, my father, and another kind gentleman assisted a civilian from an overturned vehicle on Rt. 30 towards Atlantic City. When my parents saw the vehicle flipped upside down with smoke coming from it, they decided to help the driver get out of the car, and in the process of doing so, another vehicle hit the median, and struck my mother.
Her last moment is a testament of who my mother has been her entire life. She simply helped and thought nothing of it. She’d give her last coin to a complete stranger just for them to have, and what’s most important is that she did the same exact thing for her family who truly meant the world to her. She was a genuine, unique, compassionate person who will be remembered in our hearts and souls for the love and care she spread amongst everyone she came across.
