We thought long and hard about what to say here. We thought about being humerous. We thought about being profound. We thought about revealing our anger that comes to mind when we think about this heart breaking situation. We ended up just going with the reality of what’s foremost in our thoughts right now….Our Best Friend from high school has cancer.
Meet Teresa . . . Growing up in the small town of Poplarville, MS, the three of us were in separable. We have many memeories of sleep overs on the weekends, going to Church together, summers playing softball, swimming at the Community Center pool, attending Vacation Bible School, Friday night football games and dances, proms at the Country Club.... and Oh, our parents will really love this one.... sneaking out windows together(LOL).
We tossed our caps in the air together at PHS graduation. We lived together during college, we cried together over boys. . . We challenged each other….supported each other…we loved each other like sister's. We all got married, moved to different cities and all have 2 children.
Last week this amazing friend of ours -wife, mother of 2 adult children and ReRe to 4 precious grandchildren was told she has cancer.
Teresa is more than ready to fight this battle, Her strong and indomitable faith has already proven to be more than enough, as she has been continuously by her daughter Sara's side throughout the ups and downs of the past few years battling Transverse Myelitis. Teresa has shown unwavering faith and courage and without a doubt, one of the strongest people we know.
This will be a battle but with so many people who know and love Teresa and her Family, they’ve got an army behind them. With that being said, there are so many people looking to help so we’ve started this page in hopes of raising money for the family to offset any costs that they may face in this upcoming battle.
Teresa, Brett and their precious family, will continue to need all of the positive thoughts, prayers, support throughout these next few months. With a large community who loves them, they will undoubtedly have the endless support they need throughout this process. We ask that you please share this page on Facebook, through email, by word of mouth, etc. We want this page to reach as many people as possibe.
