HELP TERESA BAILEY SURVIVE CANCER

Donation protected
One week ago our lives were forever changed. Teresa walked through those ER doors knowing something was wrong, but desperately hoping it was something simple... something fixable. I've watched one of the strongest women I know drink gallons of chemicals, be put under anesthesia multiple times, go from CT scan, to colonoscopy, to ultrasound. She's had x-rays galore, and been poked with enough needles to be deemed a human pin cushion. All without complaint. After a three night hospital stay, in walks her surgeon. He says that horrific "C" word... CANCER. It's crazy how one word, six letters of the alphabet, can turn your entire world upside down.

Most of you know Teresa as a hard working individual, some of you know her from the Exelon Nuclear Power Plant cafeteria or maybe the Exxon Mobil cafeteria. Some of you know her from MBG, McDonalds, Berkots or Casey's General Store. She has always been there to serve you but she now needs your help.

Diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer, Teresa is faced with a long road to recovery. She starts Chemo and Radiation in a week, Chemo will be administered through a pump 24/7 for 6 weeks, Radiation will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks running concurrently with the Chemo. She will then have 4 weeks off to recover before surgery to remove the tumor and put in a permanent colostomy bag. Chemotherapy will continue after the surgery since liver involvement has been detected.

The fear of mounting medical bills makes it almost impossible for her to focus on getting better. Bills will be coming in from JOHA (Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates) for Chemo and Radiation treatments, St. Joseph's Hospital for her hospital stays, CT Scans, Ultrasounds, MRIs, blood work, surgeries and general visits. We want her to focus her energy on healing not bills.

Any and all help you can provide would be greatly appreciated and not taken for granted. These donated funds will be used to pay medical bills, purchase medical supplies, travel expenses to clinics for treatments and to help offset living expenses since she isn't able to work at this time.

Asking for help isn't easy. I humbly ask all of her friends, if you have a few dollars you could spare, it would be greatly appreciated. Please share this with your friends also. Every single dollar will give her a little less financial worry so she can concentrate on a few "C" words of her own... COURAGE, CONVICTION, and CURE! From our family to yours... thank you.
