Teresa Jackson Lawley Liver Trans.

Teresa Jackson Lawley, the best friend you could ever hope for.  Kind and compassionate,  a fun and loving wife and mother to 3 boys and a grandmother of 4!  Teresa is also a cancer survivor.  She just recently celebrated her 5 year mark being cancer free and gives credit to God for her healing that the Surgeon was not sure would happen!  Yet she has another battle to fight!  While taking chemo, she developed a liver disease known as NASH with Cirrhosis. She has liver failure and is in need of a liver transplant. Although Teresa has insurance, she has had multiple hospitalizations (6 since November 2017!), and has received over 30 units of blood, as well as IV Albumin and iron infusions, and LOTS of other tests and blood work, some on a weekly basis since 2013!.  Most of these have been in Wilkes, Winston-Salem and Charlotte.  I can't imagine the cost of all of these trips and procedures, even after insurance pays!  That's why I'm starting this gofund me for Teresa.  The funds we give will go to help pay for medical expenses as well as travel and overnight expenses (sometimes Teresa and her husband go down to Charlotte the night before a procedure because it's just too taxing on Teresa). When the liver transplant takes place, they will have to live in Charlotte a couple of months per transplant protocol. Teresa was an RN for years and absolutely loved it.  Now it's her turn to be taken care of!  I challenge the WHS class of '81, all medical staff, especially Nurses who worked along side Teresa, Churches, Businesses, friends and family to donate.  No amount is too small!  Thanks so much!
