Teresa Lingafelter Home Care

Teresa Lingafelter was diagnosed with glioblastoma about three weeks ago. She had a successful surgery to have the tumor removed, but has suffered complications including aphasia, weakness on her right side and a hematoma. She is fighting valiantly, and we would like to try and support her recovery from her surgery and the hematoma over the next month from home. This month will give her time to recover as best she can and think through next steps on her journey.

Due to Covid-19, recovery in a long-term care facility means that she will not have access to family for support because facilities are not allowing visitors at this time. We would like to bring her home to her apartment where her daughter Rebecca will care for her with the help of an in-home care aid. 

Medicaid will cover some of the cost of the in-home care giving that we need, but we need to raise $15,000 to cover the remaining cost of care.
