Our sister Teresa was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer (aggressive, invasive ductal carcinoma). Words cannot express the devastation we all felt when this was confirmed. For those of you that know Teresa, you know Teresa is not only a strong person, but one of THE most caring, loving, compassionate people you will ever meet and always has that wonderful smile on her face! Teresa has an amazing support system around her with her immediate family and friends in TX and back at home but we are asking for all of the support we can get in helping Teresa and her family through this difficult life changing event. Although Teresa does have insurance, the out of pocket medical expenses have started to flow in already. We want to help support Teresa and her family with all of the medical expenses they are incurring, along with unpaid time off, and the cost of living while fighting this! It is going to be a difficult road ahead, but we have faith and 100% confidence that she will fight this and WIN!!! Teresa is scheduled for surgery this Tuesday to have the portacath inserted in her chest for chemotherapy treatments. Chemo will begin next week and will continue for several months, followed by surgery and then radiation. Teresa’s faith, strength and support are going to see her through this and every little bit of support helps!
