Teresa’s Lung Cancer Fight

Hi, my name is Amanda and my brother Shayne and I are trying to raise money for our mom Teresa, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 non-small cell adenocarcinoma (Lung cancer). We initiated this fundraiser in response to some very compassionate and thoughtful people who wished to lend a hand and continue to do so. She is not the type of person to ask for or accept help, as well as being private in general, but we want her to have support during this challenging time.

On October 29th, 2023 she had a heart attack and had to get a stent put in as one of her arteries was 90% blocked which caused the heart attack. But unfortunately, that’s not the worst of it. When they did an X-ray and CT scan of her chest, they saw a mass on her upper right lung which we now know is stage 3 lung cancer. Our world was turned upside down. 

We are asking for donations for her hospital bills from October and two different biopsy procedures. She has recently started Chemotherapy and immunotherapy in hopes the cancer will shrink enough to surgically remove it in the next couple months. As you may know, chemotherapy makes you very sick so we want her to be taken care of when she needs time off of work, as well as during her recovery time after the hopeful removal surgery.

Anyone who knows our mom knows how amazing she is. She is the sun, moon and stars all in one to us and we want to show her just how loved and supported she is. We don’t want her to stress about the medical bills and having to worry about taking off work while trying to fight this awful disease.

My brother and I are hoping this goes far enough to change her life and prove to her she isn’t in this fight alone & she’s got this! We appreciate any amount donated and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting the woman who has been our rock during our darkest times.
