Help Teresse Get Back on Her Feet

Teresse MacKenzie started working part-time at Bill Curran Design over a year ago. She was initially hired to clean and wax steel. It wasn't long before she started working more hours and learning to cut and to drill steel. She even got to weld once (and can't wait to do it again)! A few months ago, she began working full-time, over-joyed with learning as much as she could. She is a hard worker and craves perfection in all she does. Everyone enjoys having her energy in the shop!
On Friday, March 8th, Teresse was on her way to work. She stepped off a bus and proceeded to run across the street. With the lights changing, she didn't see a car coming and was hit, thrown in the air and came down on the side view mirror. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Thankfully, we have learned that there were no internal issues, no spinal issues, no head injury. However, Teresse suffered a horrific break of her left forearm and shattered her left ankle. She has had one surgery to stabilize her ankle. She will be having two more surgeries soon, one on each part. The doctor said she will not be able to walk for months.
Teresse had not quite made it to the required time to receive healthcare. She's going to need supplemental help with hospital bills and living for the next few months while she recuperates. We know how much she'd like to simply go back to work, but that's not likely any time soon. When the doctor asked what she did for a living, she proudly stated, "Steel Fabrication". We, at BCD, would love to have Teresse back in the shop; but, for now, we need her to rest and to recover. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
