Teri’s Brain Tumor Recovery #ToughMother

We will pre-empt this by saying that Teri would be uncomfortable with us setting this GoFundMe account up for her, but we aren’t asking her.

Elizabeth Malek, Elyse Fredin, and I would like to share this GoFundMe as a way for our community to rally around Teri. Everyone has been asking us what they can do to help, and this is a great way to show our support during her recovery.

Teri is the mother of 4 kids and extremely involved in our community. She is loved by all. She is always the first person to step up and do things for other people, or coach the team that no one can find a coach for. She is always trying to help other parents transport kids to practice when they are not able to get them there themselves. She is always doing things for others, and would never ask for anything in return.

As most of you have heard, Teri had a fall before Christmas, and incidentally found a brain tumor and hydrocephalus during a CT scan. She has already undergone two brain surgeries, the most recent was on January 10th, 2023. The doctor said “It was a very difficult surgery, but went as well as expected.” There are still no pathology reports back confirming if this malignant or benign.

There are so many unknowns at this time. Teri will have a long recovery, and lots of missed work time due to hospitalization and likely an inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Wouldn't it be great if we could alleviate some expenses, so she can focus on healing and recovery?
