Terminally ill Jamie Murray aged 32 years
Donation protected
Hi myself ali and Jamie’s three brothers callum Scott and Glen are looking to fundraise for their terminally ill older brother Jamie Murray
Jamie Murray is a 32 year old who has lived in Ladybank his entire life .
At the age of 19 he lost both his parents within a 6 week period of each each other leaving Jamie the eldest to care for his 3 younger brothers callum 17 Scott 14 and glen 13 at the time.
Glen the youngest at birth was diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta which is the condition severe brittle bones meaning he is wheelchair bound and requires 24/7 care .
This in itself was a massive commitment for anyone let alone a grieving 19 year old and his two younger brothers to take on and deal with.
however all 3 of them tried but unfortunately due to no professional help and support the grieving boys were able to support glens physical needs but with no counselling for any of them the situation broke down .
This meant the boys were split up having to get their own places and glen having to go into care but the only place available to suit his needs was Dumfries and Galloway losing their adapted family home put a massive emotional strain on them all as well.
If this was not enough tragedy in his life to deal with a year later Jamie and his girlfriend Sara were in a bad car accident where tragically Sara lost her life .recently Jamie has been dealt another horrific blow.
Jamie has just been diagnosed with terminal colon cancer that has already spread to every area of the peripheral in his stomach, he is currently waiting to see if he will be suitable and strong enough to commence gruelling chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumours to give him more time.
This is purely for extra time of quality of life and not a cure.
Jamie had to give up working over a year ago which in turn means he has struggled on basic benefits.
Myself Ali and his brothers callum and Scott are setting up this go fund me page in the hope of raising enough money to help with any medical equipment he might need and for funeral costs.
If we raise enough money Jamie might also be able if he is well enough to try and fulfil some of his wishes.
it is difficult times for everyone and not everyone can help financially but please share this so we can get as many people seeing it as possible thank you Ali callum scott and Glen
