Le CHALLENGE : Rassembler les fonds en DEUX SEMAINES pour pouvoir obtenir à temps une nouvelle camera afin de filmer la mise à l'eau et terminer les dernières étapes du chantier !

Salut tout le monde !

Je vous contacte aujourd'hui avec des nouvelles excitantes sur La Baleine Blanche, le voilier que je rénove depuis des mois pour un projet que tant d'entre vous ont suivi et soutenu depuis les débuts sur Lady Océane. (voir plus bas le résumé de l’histoire du projet et la liste du budget)

UN APPEL À LA SOLIDARITÉ POUR LA DERNIÈRE LIGNE DROITE AVANT LA MISE À L’EAU

Nous sommes maintenant si proches du but ! Je n'aurais jamais pu arriver aussi loin sans tous vos encouragements, vos conseils et votre amour.

Cependant, nous avons atteint un moment critique. Les dernières étapes sont à portée de main, mais j'ai besoin de votre aide pour mettre La Baleine Blanche à l'eau et l'équiper entièrement. Avec seulement 7200 euros, je peux compléter les dernières phases essentielles : installer le moteur, payer les frais de marina, acheter les matériaux restants, finir les différentes couches de peinture et, le plus important, mettre la Baleine Blanche à l’eau !

En plus de cela, j'espère investir dans une nouvelle caméra pour documenter cette dernière étape du voyage et partager chaque détail de cette aventure avec vous tous (je filme maintenant tout avec mon telephone car ma camera ne marche plus).

Quand le bateau sera à l’eau, les vidéos YouTube continueront avec une envergure plus anthropologique. La Baleine, accompagnée par une flotte d’autres voiliers, ira à la rencontre de peuples natifs partout sur la planète pour vous partager leurs histoires et visions.

Mais il y a un délai ! La collecte de fonds ne durera que deux semaines, car nous avons besoin de l'argent avant que le bateau ne soit prêt à être mis à l'eau pour avoir la caméra et les matériaux à temps pour ce moment crucial. C'est donc maintenant ou jamais pour contribuer et participer à ce projet !

Chaque euro compte, que ce soit pour les matériaux ou simplement pour capturer la magie de ce que nous avons construit ensemble. Si ce voyage vous a touché ou si vous rêvez de naviguer vers l'horizon, penser à faire une contribution est une manière de rejoindre l’aventure en faisant partie de ceux qui ont permis à ce projet d’exister.

UN PETIT RÉSUMÉ DE L’HISTOIRE DU PROJET

Tout commença il y a presque trois ans au Guatemala quand j’ai récupéré Lady Océane, une épave en acier très rouillée que j’avais navigué à partir des Antilles françaises. Le but était de rénover le voilier en quelques mois pour naviguer ensuite, accompagnée par une communauté de voiliers, pour réaliser ensemble divers projets artistiques et culturels.

J’avais commencé ce chantier sans aucune expérience, sans économies et seule. J’ai réussi à surpasser toutes ces difficultés. J’ai appris à souder, à devenir autonome sur mon chantier. Une trentaine de volontaires vinrent filer un coup de main. Une centaine de personnes firent des donations pour permettre aux travaux d’évoluer et en échange, j’ai appris à monter des vidéos pour partager sur YouTube chaque avancée. En prenant de l’expérience, je me rendais compte que le chantier serait bien plus long que prévu.

Presque un an plus tard, on me donna De Robb, un second voilier abandonné. Le deal : je m’occupe de la destruction de ce voilier trop abîmé pour être sauvé et en échange, je récupère son moteur et ses meubles (c’est justement ce qu’il me manquait dans Lady Océane).

Un mois plus tard, j’échangeais la bôme et l’ancre de ce bateau contre un troisième voilier abandonné. Le navire de mes rêves. La Baleine Blanche, un ketch en acier de 40 pieds qui demandait aussi de l’entretien, mais rien comparé à Lady Océane.

Après beaucoup de rebondissements, de nouvelles surprises, un burn-out et un retour en France de six mois pour faire une pause, qui a mené a beaucoup de prise de conscience et de guérison (merci à ce projet qui fut mon miroir, grâce auquel j’appris tant sur moi-même), je revins en décembre 2023 au Guatemala complètement centrée sur La Baleine Blanche.

De janvier à août, plus expérimentée grâce à mon apprentissage de l’année d’avant sur Lady Océane, j’ai passé mon quotidien penchée dans les fonds de cale pour traiter toute la rouille, souder 11 nouvelles tôles et rendre les cales comme neuve. Ça a été une énorme victoire d’enfin terminer cette étape !

Depuis, je me concentre sur le moteur et les dernières petites taches à réaliser avant la mise à l’eau, tout en profitant pour la première fois de la joie de vivre dans mon bateau.

The CHALLENGE : Raise the funds in TWO WEEKS to get a new camera in time to film the launch and complete the final stages of the project !

Hello everyone !

I'm contacting you today with some exciting news about La Baleine Blanche, the sailboat I've been renovating for months for a project so many of you have followed and supported since the early days on Lady Océane. (see project history and budget list below)

A CALL FOR SOLIDARITY FOR THE FINAL STRETCH BEFORE THE LAUNCH

We're so close to our goal ! I could never have gotten this far without all your encouragement, advice, and love.

However, we've reached a critical moment. The final steps are within reach, but I need your help to launch and fully equip La Baleine Blanche. With just 7,200 euros, I can complete the last essential phases: install the engine, pay the marina fees, buy the remaining materials, finish the various coats of paint and, most importantly, launch La Baleine Blanche !

On top of that, I'm hoping to invest in a new camera to document this final leg of the journey and share every detail of this adventure with you all (as my old one died so I am recording everything with my phone since months).

Once the boat is in the water, the YouTube videos will continue with a more anthropological scope. La Baleine, accompanied by a fleet of other sailboats, will meet up with native peoples all over the planet to share their stories and visions with you.

But there's a DEADLINE ! Fundraising will only last two weeks, as we need the money before the boat is ready to be launched and to get the camera and materials in time for this crucial moment. So it's now or never to contribute and take part in this project !

Every euro counts, whether for materials or simply to capture the magic of what we've built together.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PROJECT

It all began almost three years ago in Guatemala when I salvaged Lady Océane, a very rusty steel wreck that I had sailed from the French West Indies. The aim was to renovate the boat in a few months and then sail, accompanied by a sailing community, to carry out various artistic and cultural projects together.

I started the project with no experience, no savings and no one to help me. I managed to overcome all these difficulties. I learned to weld, to become autonomous in my workshop. Around thirty volunteers came to lend a hand. A hundred or so people made donations to keep the work going, and in exchange I learned to edit videos to share each step forward on YouTube. As I gained experience, I realized that the project would take much longer than expected.

Almost a year later, I was given De Robb, a second abandoned sailboat. The deal: I'd take care of destroying the boat, which was too damaged to be saved, and in exchange I'd get her engine and furniture back (just what I'd been missing in Lady Océane).

A month later, I exchanged the boom and anchor for a third abandoned sailboat. The boat of my dreams. La Baleine Blanche, a 40-foot steel ketch that also required maintenance, but nothing compared to Lady Océane.

After many ups and downs, new surprises, a burn-out and a six-month return to France to take a break, which led to much awareness and healing (thanks to this project which was my mirror, teaching me so much about myself), I returned in December 2023 to Guatemala completely focused on La Baleine Blanche.

From January to August, more experienced thanks to my formation on Lady Océane the year before, I spent my day bent over the bilges to treat all the rust, weld 11 new plates and make the holds as good as new. It was a huge victory to finally complete this stage !

Since then, I've been concentrating on the engine and the last little tasks to be completed before the launch, while enjoying living on my boat for the first time.
