Downham Town FC Fundraiser

Downham Town FC have set up this fundraiser to ensure that our youth and adult teams can continue to run efficiently into the new season and provide some much needed stability. It is well known that Downham Town are very much an advocate of getting local players into the Adult sides. Last season 14 of the 16 First team squad members were from the Downham Youth set up, so we feel it is imperative that we keep this going and maintain our identity by being able to support all teams in the club

To highlight one of the issues we are dealing with, Downham Town FC do not own their grounds. We pay annual fees for the hire of our pitches and facilities on top of all the usual costs that clubs have. Due to the pandemic that we are all facing, our main and crucial fundraising events to help towards these payments have been cancelled. Events such as our guest speaker evening with Ray Parlour, which we had high hopes for. Our yearly 5a side tournament and the generic pre season fundraisers that all teams hold.

Everyone at our club fully understands that a lot of people are currently suffering the consequences of what is happening and have their own needs. So any help at all, no matter how big or small, is hugely appreciated and we are extremely grateful for your contribution.
