Terrell Lawrence’s Georgetown, SC Mentorship Documentary

My name is Terrell Lawrence. I’m a Writer/Producer that lives in Los Angeles but originally from Georgetown, SC. There are two main goals that I hope to achieve with this documentary. The first goal is a short term goal of gaining more funding for each of these programs so that ALL kids in the community can participate not just a select few. Unfortunately not every parent in the community can afford to send their kids to any of the available programs so I hope to help eradicate that predicament.

The second goal I hope to achieve is a more long term goal of hoping once our kids are exposed to new ways of living, thinking and learning, the more they will be able to carry that new mindset throughout the school year, ultimately improving grades overall and helping our teachers in the classroom.

It’s imperative for me to do everything within my power to ensure that the next generation is better than the last. The earlier we expose our youth to every possible opportunity in the world, the earlier they can figure out what they

ultimately want to pursue in their lives with more intentions. These programs are a prime example of doing just that and I couldn’t be more honored to give them the spotlight that their tireless work is so deserving of.
