Firstly, there truly are no words adequate to express the deep loss our family is experiencing at this time. T. J. was tragically taken from this earth into Heaven far too soon on September 2, 2022, just shy of his 39th birthday. He has touched so many lives as a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a partner, companion, and so much more. But he was hands down the most amazing, caring, fun, goofy daddy to his children. Everyone whose life was touched by T.J. is feeling a tremendous loss, however nothing can ever match the loss of his fatherhood to his sweet babies. He loved them more than anything, as did they. He was an avid hiker, who was passionate about rescuing animals he found while working, and treasured spending his time exploring the outdoors with his kiddos and sharing with them the wonders nature holds. You’d always see the absolute biggest grin on his face when they were together! Kayla (17), Jaiden (10), Xavier (Rachel and T.J.’s son) and Leighana (5), have lost the father that every kid wishes were theirs, and the father every other man hopes to be. He would dress up and bring flowers to Kayla to bring her on daddy-daughter Valentines dates, always making sure she knew how a real gentleman should treat her, and that she deserves respect. T.J.’s love for each and every one of his children knew no bounds. He would spend his time with them being goofy, playful, and of course the best teacher, counselor, nurturer, nature guide, you name it.

T.J. had a close relationship with the Lord, and and even closer relationship with his mother Diana and his father Terrence Sr. He absolutely adored his mother, and truly cherished their relationship more than words can even begin to describe. Any mother would be blessed to have him as her son, but it was clear that his heart belonged to her, and that their bond is nothing short of everlasting. T.J. also loved spending time with his dad and taking his children to visit, which meant the absolute world to him. They also made many treasured memories boating or down at the range, just having guy time. And for Troy, T.J.s “twin”
“The presence of my Brother in my life Is a gift to me. Thank you for his life, His heart and his soul.
Thanks for giving me Someone who looked out
For me and cared for me as I him. Even the rivalry between us Was a blessing to me. Thank you for what I learned From my brother's life and love and what I was able to teach. So now I ask you Lord, Bless my brother, With the abundance of Your love and mercy. Cover him with your grace. Let him feel your tenderness Touch his soul. Let him know your mercy Sets his spirit free. I present to you, oh Lord, My love for my brother. Open up the heavens to him. Bring him great peace and joy.
Thank you for my brother, dear Lord. Thank you for his life and love. All in the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ, Amen.

The women in his life, Amber and Vanessa knew a kind man, who had an unmatched work ethic and always did what it took to support his family, and above all else, care for their sweet babies together. It was never about “us and them”, it was “we’re all family here”. T.J. is truly a role model to others, and a man of outstanding character who always put his children first no matter what. Family first.

T.J. was also the most loving and supportive uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, including the children of his “brothers from another mother”, who were after all, simply more family. From marker beards on Kayla’s face, for some inevitable belly laughs (I mean, it was a pretty sweet purple goatee) to marrying my daughter Jordyn, because she loves her uncle so very much, and knew at such a young age that he was one of the great ones.

He was a jokester, a goof ball, a bit of a comedian, always trying to put a smile on the face of whomever was around. He was also always ready to carry a loved one’s burden, but it never showed or stopped him from lighting up the room with his quick wit and hysterical sense of humor. You always knew you were in for some excitement when you were T.J. So many laughs, so many smiles. For all the lives he touched, I know with all of my heart and soul that their most favorite of all their memories are likely to include a moment shared with him.

Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. We will all carry with us the priceless memories, the energy, and of course the laughter he brought into our lives. But T.J.’s true legacy will live forever through his children and all of the unconditional love and support with which he showered them.

T.J.’as family has already received an outpouring of support, so for anyone whose life was personally touched by T.J.’s amazing spirit, and feels they can, please consider sharing and/or donating to this Go Fund Me set up to help with final arrangements, and for the lovely children he’s left behind.
