Medical Fund for Terrence Winder

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. --Romans 12:12

After living most of his life with a rare, debilitating form of arthritis, this has been one of many scriptures Terrence has held steadfast to for support. After four corrective surgeries over the years, and through faith and by the grace of God, he has managed his often severe arthritis by keeping an active life through long-distance cycling and a careful, mostly plant-based diet.

In March of this year, Terrence had a CT Scan and was advised by his doctor that he has shrinkage of the frontal lobe of his brain, and was immediately referred to a neurologist. It was there that he underwent a further week of medical evaluations, and received a diagnosis of Cerebrovascular Disease of the small vessels, with a secondary diagnosis of Arterial hypertension.

Unfortunately, this condition does not have a medical cure, however, the news came with a silver lining. Thankfully, it has been caught very early on in Terrence’s case, and treatment can dramatically stop any further progression.

This treatment consists of Neuro-restorative treatment, Occupational Therapy, Application of biophysical stimulation techniques, Physical, Psychological and Speech Therapy, along with prescribed medication over 28 days at the Neurological Restoration Center.
