Terri catch a break

Hi, my name is Tiffany.
I'm putting this out to the internet community to try and help a friend/co-worker of mine, Terri. She just can't catch a break.
She's a single mom with 2 little ones. She is a hard worker, regularly working full and overtime to take care of her family. Additionally, she is going to school to improve their life and qualify for higher paying jobs.

Why we're seeking help:

We work with troubled teens and during 2 separate sport activities, she injured her ankle and knee.
She is an hourly employee, so the specialty appointments needed for those injuries really hurt her pay.
She was moved to my department in September for a light duty assignment.
We have enjoyed having her help, as she is cheerful, kind and always looking for more ways to help out. She lost her regular childcare when her schedule was changed to match availability for light duty.

She was already struggling significantly with these challenges when she was involved in an accident, which caused her car to be totaled & her be hospitalized for several days.

She ended up with Stage 4 spleen injury, nerve damage in her right arm and hand, severe bruising in her rib cage, stomach and tailbone.

Again, no pay if she can't work.

She was out for 2 weeks, should have been longer, but with her bills already overdue, she needed to at least work enough to keep them at bay and keep the lights on.
Her insurance was not able to provide a new vehicle. Once the deductible was paid, she pulled what she had left to get a beater in order to drive the hour to and from work.
A few days after returning to work, she was sent home until she can completely recover.
Her paycheck for the past month was $400. That was barely enough to cover gas and insurance for her transportation, let alone the bills which have piled up.
She is at the point where Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holdidays aren't even an option right now. She just wants ensure her family has a warm place to spend them and doesn't lose everything.
She has applied for every assistance available, and been told that it takes time for help. She needs it now.

If you'd consider contributing even a cup of Star-bucks coffee... every little bit helps.

She was asking for $1500, but realistically, her bills that are behind, are already more than that. I'm hoping we can raise at least $2000 and Lord-willing enough to not only pay them, but also the next month, until she is able to find reliable childcare and return to work.

We appreciate you taking time to read this. We know times are tough for everyone, and if it wasn't dire, she would never have allowed me to share. She is very grateful for anything you can do.
Thank you.
Tiffany W.
