Terri Novak Family Support

Our Starstruck family received some unexpected and sad news a short few weeks ago. One of the staples of our dance world, Terri Novak, was diagnosed with advanced cancer. Already in late stages, Terri’s family has rallied to be with her in this difficult journey. Terri spent a number of weeks in the Intensive Care Unit in March and returned home to enter hospice on April 5th.

Our dance community is a small one and the roots of Starstruck run deep across many families in our area. Many of you know that Terri helped both her daughters, Shannon and Erin, in pursuing their dreams of dance from a very young age. She has always been her girls’ biggest supporter. When Erin was just a teenager, Terri helped her start Starstruck Performing Arts Center and she continued to work at the studio every day until her recent diagnosis. You rarely entered Starstruck without seeing Terri at the front desk.

A number of friends around the dance community and Starstruck families have asked how they can support Terri and the Novak family during this time. As this has all happened so quickly and there have been a large number of medical bills from the extended ICU stay, the family has asked for donations to address these costs and her at home nursing care. These donations will directly provide support to Rick as he navigates this final phase with Terri. They are grateful for your thoughtfulness at this time.
