Terri "Sunshine" Hayes Final Expenses

Terri passed away on November 5, 2020. She was the sweetest, most sincere person anyone knew and always lit up the room when she entered. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the spring of this year and fought hard to survive, all while keeping a positive attitude.

Teresa “Terri” L. Hayes, 64, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born on June 13, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Roy Alford and Wanda Huff.  Terri was married on Dec. 2, 1977 to Freddie Hayes, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2013.  Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Hayes of Seattle, Washington and Jacob Hayes of Scottsburg, Indiana; her mother, Wanda Huff of Glendale, Kentucky; a sister, Marty Lainhart of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Troy Alford of Glendale, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Brianna and Britley Hayes, and five half siblings.  In keeping with Terri's wishes, cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Little York Cemetery with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with final expenses.
