Terri Rathel's Recovery

Donation protected
On May 12th, Terri Rathel had a heart attack and had to undergo quadruple bypass surgery (aka CABG, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft surgery) on May 20th. Post-op she developed compartment syndrome in her right arm, a condition that restricts blood flow in the affected limb and can lead to limb loss. A fasciotomy had to be performed (cutting the fascia in her arm to relieve pressure and restore blood flow) and it was extensive but effective. She’s recovering well and her arm is improving, but the affected area extends from her lower forearm into her upper arm, which is also her dominant, so it will take some time before she has full use of it again and what would have otherwise been a 6-8 week recovery from the CABG is now prolonged. She’ll continue physical and occupational therapy after discharge and won’t be able to work, all while trying to care for her beautiful daughter, Aubree Lynn. She’s going to need lots of help while she recovers, the most basic of which is financially to cover her and Aubree’s monthly living expenses. This campaign is to at least help cover those expenses in the months ahead, and hopefully more.
