Terry Steve Gibson, Jr. was a beloved Brother, Son, Uncle and Friend. He peacefully transitioned at the young age of 29 on April 13th, 2021. The cause of his death has not yet been determined.
Terry wasn’t a stranger to celebrating life, family, and MUSIC. In his early years in high school he was a member of the fighting Warren Easton marching band in the trumpet section. He has loved the trumpet since birth watching his father Terry S. Gibson Sr. play his heart out! He loved it so much in his adult years he curated his own brass band; THE One mind brass band! Since then he has been seen all over New Orleans playing with various brass bands, even journeying to Germany as the first winner of the Seeking Satch competition. While in Germany he was considered a NOLA Music Ambassador and he spread his wisdom of New Orleans music and culture to the German people connecting the two cultures.
His love for life, joy and happiness touched everyone around him but he was taken from us much too soon. The funds raised will contribute towards his funeral services, on April 24th, 2021 at the Charbonnet funeral home. Any residual funds will be gifted to the parents of Terry.
