TERRY HOBACK'S MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR

Hi my name is Bruce and I'm fundraising money to get my brother-in-law his scooter that he so much needs. Insurance funded most of the money but out of pocket costs are are $5,200.00. A little about Terry now, he is 58 and a little over 10 years ago he was diagnosed with PLS which is a neuromuscular disease which slowly weakens all muscle movement in the body. As the disease progressed he can no longer eat by mouth, and must be tube fed. Sadly he is no longer able to communicate verbally as well. There is no cure for this disease and it only worsens and goes to the next level which is known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Terry now requires assistance with everything one must do on a daily basis. Terry also cannot sit upright in a regular chair he requires side supports. He currently uses a three-wheel mobility scooter and it is no longer safe for him. He has numerously fell out of this one and hit his head causing injuries because it has no side supports. He has been fitted for the new motorized wheelchair. The new chair will have front wheel drive allowing him to move through gravel and also have the side supports so that he can sit up right. With this chair as well he will be able to steer it with his own two eyes through his speech machine. Thank you for listening and please donate if you can. If you cannot donate please share.
