You may have known Terry as the “lady who tried to restore order” at Dollar General in Story City. Or, as the happy-go-lucky, always wearing a smile, knew what you wanted before you asked, Cashier at the Yes-Way. Maybe your interaction with her goes further back, sitting next to her at every single sporting event her kids were involved in or better yet bowling league in Nevada in the ‘90’s. However you may have known Terry or wherever your paths may have crossed, we can all agree on one thing, to know her is to love her. Right now, she needs our help. Last week she began having abdominal pain, which turned into violent vomiting. Initial scans reflected a blockage in her colon, and a colonoscopy reflected a large polyp and a cancerous tumor. Today, Terry is undergoing surgery and though the prognosis is not yet known - we do know that the medical bills are starting to climb, and with an inability to work for the foreseeable future her regular bills are going to take a back seat.
