Terry "Pappaw" Combs Medical Expenses

Hello! My name is Brittany and I am Terry's daughter in-law. I am setting up this fundraiser to help Terry out with several unexpected medical bills.

Early morning of August 11, Terry was emergency evacuated off of a cruise ship by the coast guard then airlifted to a local hospital in New Orleans for suspected internal bleeding. The medical team at Ochsner Health in New Orleans were able to find the source of the bleed and stop it.

Terry remains in the ICU over 800 miles away from his home in Ohio with Karin by his side. He is in stable condition, but has not been able to wake up on his own yet. The doctors had him sedated and on a ventilator for roughly 24 hours to allow his body to rest. While the ventilator has been turned off, we are still currently waiting for his body to flush out all of the sedation medications so he can wake up on his own and the doctors can fully remove the ventilator.

This is just the beginning of a long road of recovery for Terry. We are hoping to take some of the stress of medical bills away by setting up this fundraiser. If you know Terry, he has helped others his whole life and now it's time for us to repay the favor and help him!
