Terry Ranieri, "Everyone's Friend", Memorial Fund

Terry has been an icon to the whole community his entire life.  He had such a great love for people and music. You would see Terry at Greengate or Westmoreland Mall just about any Friday and Saturday night - saying what everyone now calls “Terryisms”, such as “Cool like whip” and “Shakin like bacon”. When Terry wasn’t at the mall on the weekends, he was cheering on the Spartans at the Friday night Hempfield Area football games, or at local carnivals or fairs in the community of Greensburg. His love for the Hempfield Area Spartans was incredible. At every home football game, Terry would hang out in front of the student section during the game, happily greeting fans and friends while cheering on the Spartans. After every game, Terry would listen to the band and march along from the stadium to the band room. Concluding every home game with jammin’ along to his favorite part of the night – the drum line!

The purpose of Terry’s Go Fund Me is to create a college scholarship fund in his name awarded to a band member every year. The band was such an important part of Terry’s life and his family feels it is only appropriate to continue to support them in honor of Terry. In addition to the scholarship, the Ranieri family would also like to cover some of Terry’s funeral expenses because of his limited insurance.
