Tessa Fite Dog Attack

Hi, my name is Megan and I’m creating this gofund for my sweet friend Tessa Fite. Barely three weeks ago we celebrated this sweet couples wedding day. Nick & Tessa should be enjoying their first month of marriage and settling in as newlyweds. Nick is a former Marine and now a police officer. Tessa works full-time as a broodmare assistant at a local farm. Yesterday, October 4, 2023, Tessa was attacked by a Rottweiler in the front yard of their home. She was taking her trash out when two Rottweiler’s came around the corner and one dog immediately started attacking her. The dog was able to get Tessa on the ground and rip her legs open before her screams for help woke Nick up. Tessa has lacerations on both legs and feet as well as a torn achillies tendon. She received five rabies shots and will have to get four more boosters throughout the span of the following two weeks. She is scheduled to see the orthopedic surgeon Monday due to the injures to tendons and ligaments in her feet and legs. Due to Tessa’s nature of work and the magnitude of her injuries, she will be off for an unknown amount of time.

The Rottweilers were posted as “lost” on the local garage sale page. Now that the attack has happened the post has been removed and local law enforcement have not been able to find the dogs or the owners.

I have created this gofund with the blessing of Tessa to help relieve some of the financial burden from being off work and the medical bills that she will have.
