HELP THE CERON FAMILY FINISH THEIR HOME

Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,

We hope this message finds you well. This has been a very hard decision for my wife, Silvia and I, as we do not like to burden others, but we know how beautiful and understanding this community is.

We urgently need your help.

We were in the final phase of completing our home and our builder: Metro Home Builders, Inc. Owner: Alberto Hernandez informed us that they will not be finishing our home.

This is the scary reality we are facing:

•losing our $70,000+ down payment

•losing the money for the lot

•losing money in paid change orders $15k+

Metro Home Builders were supposed to finish our home with the last draw we had on our loan for ($45k) and we have gotten two quotes to complete our house that range from: $186k-$194k. We have been allowed the opportunity to be: "Owner Builders" with hopes of completing our home at a lower cost.

Silvia and I are now faced with the glaring reality of coming up with an additional $140k+in cash to work with a general contractor and complete our home by November of this year, which we are not able to do.

We are unable to refinance due to the interest rates climbing over 8%, which will make our mortgage payment unattainable.

We have consulted with multiple attorneys and a lawsuit would be a challenge due to Metro Home Builder’s bankruptcy proceedings; in addition to the restraint on timing from the back.

We are devastated by this unfortunate turn of events, not to mention the amount of energy, time and money that has been poured into this home only to have it all taken away in an instant.

We are determined to complete the home with the help of God and our community.

With your help and generosity, we can make our home a reality for our family. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be used to cover the costs of materials, tools, and skilled labor required to complete the remaining work. This includes electrical and plumbing installations, flooring, paint, and other essential finishing touches. The build is about 70% to being completed.
