Medical Assistance for Megan Herren-Shotwell

Hi! I'm Teri and I am Megan Herren-Shotwell's Mother.

Megan has had 5 major surgeries since last fall, with 4 being just over the last 5 weeks. She also has to have another soon.

Friday was the last day of her accumulated sick and vacation leave and her employer doesn't compensate for further assistance. She is finally home recovering but without pay.

Her husband Nick has been amazing, but doesn't get paid when he's not working so he has picked up side jobs to compensate as much as he is able.

This beautiful couple recently wed and purchased a house that they haven't been able to enjoy. In the meantime, Megan's medical bills are rolling in and they are easily going to be over $100k after her insurance pays their part.

It was very hard for Megan to accept my asking for hardship help, but they realize they could lose their home and more otherwise.

We almost lost our sweet Megan 3 times during this roller-coaster. Nobody wants to hear those words from a Doctor.
