Texas Floating Classroom Home Port Purchase

The Texas Floating Classroom is seeking to raise $60,000 to purchase a home port property for the RV Archimedes. Captain Whitney has been providing environmental education throughout the Texas mid-coast & up the watersheds since 2014 through onboard and traveling touch tank programs. She has reached thousands of students. With the purchase of this property in Ingleside, TX she will be able to provide even more marine science education programs.

If you've ever met Captain Whitney you know what a tremendous educator she is. So good in fact, that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) named Captain Whitney the 2023 Environmental Educator of the Year.
