Texas Troubadour Mike Burrow Loses Everything in House Fire

Our dear friend, fellow musician, singer, songwriter, father, grandpa and all around Texas Legend Mike Burrow lost everything in a fire last night. Mike’s cabin had some old wiring that caught fire while he was sleeping and luckily he woke up in time to get out safe. His home with all his belongings his cabin, trailer and truck were quickly turned to ash before the fire department could get there. We had just sold Mike our old pickup (as seen on the cover of “Countin’ the Miles”). He was going to insure it this week, no one could have expected this to happen. Needless to say insurance won’t be covering any of his losses. His old guitar, his turquoise and silver jewelry, his hat, boots, photos and other great memorabilia from the life of a troubadour. We need your help to get Mike back on his feet. He’s starting all over again at 77 years old. He works full time as a teachers aid for high risk, special ed children. He has contributed so much to his community and you may recognize him from touring with his son, local musician and renowned songwriter, Dallas Burrow. Dallas and his wife Stacy own and operate the Red Bird Listening Room in New Braunfels as well and are a huge part of keeping the Texas songwriter tradition alive and well. When we first moved to Texas they were one of the first to welcome us with open arms. Having us over to share songs and stories by the campfire and showing us true hospitality and friendship. I can’t think of better people to help out in a time of need. Let’s show them how we can come together to help them rebuild from the ground up!
