Tax deductible
2015 Year End Giving Campaign
Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) hopes you will consider helping us purchase a 30HP Evinrude boat motor by making a donation between #GivingTuesday December 1 and the end of the year. The cost of the motor is $4,800.
... Yes, we raised just over $11,000 to help TEXSAR operate this year and to acquire other critical items of life-saving equipment. Thank you! Your year-end donation for the new boat motor would be "above-and-beyond" that impressive fundraising achievement.
Here is why a new 30 HP Evinrude boat motor is so important.
TEXSAR currently owns 6 rescue boats: 4 have motors and 2 do not. One of the boats without a motor is located in Galveston.
Your donation via GoFundMe will make a tremendous difference in our capabilities. If we can raise enough funding to acquire a boat motor, TEXSAR can close the gap on boat motors for its teams, allowing TEXSAR's swift water and evacuation boat assets to be 100% operational and ready to deploy. This would also extend our swift water rescue capabilities to the Houston/Galveston area.
To our current GoFundMe donors, you have already done a great deal. Please know TEXSAR is grateful for your support. If you will consider a new contribution, we will be doubly honored!
About Texas Search and Rescue
TEXSAR is a highly trained, all-volunteer first responder organization based in Austin that provides services across Texas. TEXSAR deploys at the request of the Governor of Texas; local, state and federal agencies; and relief organizations. There is never a charge for our services, and our all-volunteer staff puts themselves in harm’s way so that others may live.
But that is not all our volunteers do. Amazingly, they pay for their own training and most all of their own gear to do it. That means your gift is incredibly leveraged. For every dollar you give, more than 90% goes directly to search and rescue, disaster recovery, and other emergency services.
Donors like you give people of the State of Texas a chance to survive and rebuild. Thank you for your consideration and support.
