Help Stop Fish Bombing Protect Semporna's Reefs Again

Tax deductible
Fish bombers use explosives to kill/stun everything in close proximity of the blast. At the same time, the shock wave wipes out corals. There are those who just need to feed their family, occasional bombers, and criminals who use a mother boat with numerous small boats to blast everything in the vicinity. Repeated bombing destroys the coral reefs, the fish breeding ground.

By 2023, we reduced fish bombing by 80% in Semporna, Malaysian Borneo. This 5 min video explains how we protect the coral reefs from the devastating fish bombing effects.

Unfortunately, fish bombers quickly learned to avoid the arrays and created new hot spots in remote regions.

Fortunately, we have the answer: "Blue Boats". BBs are "Multi Sensor Platforms" that can operate in remote areas, detect bombers, and also provide researchers with data urgently needed to assess ecosystem health. They collect currents, tides, wave height data, and use underwater cameras for visual confirmation of fish bombing incidents and monitoring marine life as described in this flyer.

Please help us protect the marine ecosystem and the island communities, including stateless islanders who need to feed their families. We need your support to purchase four Blue Boats and a low-cost drone with a high-resolution camera for overhead coverage to protect "Semporna's Reefs Again."
