TFA-OC Help us compete for a National Championship
Our U14 TFA Orange County team is asking for your help. These 18 boys and their families pushed thru and succeeded thru a pandemic, multiple injuries, lots of traveling, very early days followed by just as many late nights of games and trainings sessions all to come play the beautiful game they love. Their relentless efforts and sacrifice has brought us to this point and now they have the opportunity of a lifetime to represent Southern California in the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
On June 13th our boys won the Cal South National Cup in Oceanside, Ca. which is the first step to getting to the National Championship. We were presented with an incredible challenge when we were informed that the regional championships were going to be held in Boise, Idaho just 7 days later. Parents and players scrambled to make this opportunity work, we rented 2-15 passenger vans and drove our boys 16+ hours to get to Boise, Idaho to compete with the state champions of the western region of the US. After a week long competition our boys won 6 games and were crowned USYS Far West Regional Champions this past weekend.
They now have earned a spot in the USYS National Championship in Sarasota, Florida which starts July 19th. This is the first time in history that a team from our club TFA-OC has made it this far in the National competition. With such limited time until they leave, any and all support is greatly needed and appreciated. We invite you to play a big part in their success and journey.
Our team and parents are a humble, dedicated, hard-working group of individuals who are in need of some help (any amount helps, no amount is too small or too large), as our funds have been exhausted this last year by multiple events being so far away.
The funds that we raise will be used for flight cost, van rentals, hotel stays, team meals and team expenses during this weeklong trip across the country as our team tries to make history and establish themselves as the best U14 team in the country.
We thank you for your interest in our fundraiser, some people call it soccer, others call it Futbol. Either way, this is what has kept our boys grounded, motivated and inspired thru one of the toughest times in their young lives.
Thank you,
Coach Gus and the TFA-OC Family
