Shannon

Our wonderful colleague was recently diagnosed with cancer, is having surgery,  and will be out of work for 6-8 weeks (possibly more).  Shannon is a single mom and with no salary coming in for the period she is out and is distraught trying to figure out how she and her son will financially survive.  We all want Shannon to focus on recovery and healing and not whether she will need to find another place to live because she cannot pay her bills.  Her recovery period will be through the Christmas holidays, and as much as possible, she is trying to keep her son's life normal, and try to give him the holiday joy that all young boys anticipate.

Her career is taking care of patients, comforting them, assisting them along their healthcare journey.  Now she is a patient, and we have the opportunity to give back the same comfort and care to Shannon by taking some of the financial worry and burden away.  

This amazing woman is very private and it took moving mountains for her to agree setting up this fundraiser.   Anything you can donate will be most appreciated.....we have all had a "Shannon" in our lives, someone battling cancer and just fighting so hard be a survivor.
