LUCKY needs our help!

Whether it’s a child or a pet, your baby is your baby. Lucky is Jenna’s baby.
As you may know Jenna has been through a lot in the past few months and now Lucky is sick. Lucky, her 8 year old rescue, has been diagnosed with IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia) that is a disease in which the body attacks its own red blood cells. His red blood cells are still being manufactured in the bone marrow, but once released into the circulation, they have a shorter-than-normal life span, since they are constantly being attacked and destroyed by abnormal antibodies in the blood. Lucky is currently undergoing a blood transfusion, and if all goes well and his body doesn’t reject the transfusion, he will go home in a few days. He will still have a long road ahead of him. Full recovery can take 8 months to a year.
Most of you know Lucky, and helped donate to save his life when he was rescued. He was found in a garbage bag on the side of the road that had fertilizer in it that he ingested. He almost didn’t make it, but with the help of all of you and his Doctors he pulled through. This is why he was named Lucky.
We want to do what we can to help Jenna so she can focus her time and energy to helping Lucky in his fight.
We have faith that Lucky can pull through and can get back to going on adventures and doing all the fun things he and Jenna do!
