3/30/25 Update: Chris passed away peacefully this morning at home, with his favorite people and favorite view after returning home the day before. He was so loved and will be missed by so many. Thank you so much for supporting his family as we grieve his loss. -Heather

Hi everyone, my name is Heather Stevens and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my incredible brother-in-law Chris Stevens and his family. Earlier this year, we were completely heartbroken to find out that Chris’ cancer had returned as Stage 4 Melanoma. As you can imagine, this news has been devastating for him, his wife, Melissa, and their children, Nathaniel (7), Ryder (6), and Kenzie (6), and everyone who loves him.

I’m sure many of you have been following along with the Caring Bridge posts Melissa shares (Chris' Caring Bridge) and are somewhat familiar with the challenges these last few weeks have brought. Now that Chris is home, the goal is to resume his cancer treatments, but as you can imagine, this brings on even more challenges, such as: Chris can only travel via medical transport and needs special care while at home. Our goal is to help alleviate some of the stress and burden this can cause financially. Melissa has a full-time job taking care of Chris while still spreading herself thin to be the best mom to her 3 children. Even with the help of friends and family, this is a lot. In the midst of so many unknowns of what the future holds, every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference to their family.
