Justice for Birendra Thakuri
Donation protected
On Saturday August 25, 2018, we lost one of brightest and kindest young member of our community. Birendra Thakuri wasn’t just an another member of the society; he was a young guy full of energy to help others, make good friends and most importantly, he was determined to bring positive changes in the society. Born and raised in Nepal and raised by a hard-working single mom, he owned and ran a restaurant even when he was a teenager and put tireless hours in community services through his church and social organizations. Those who know him well know him as a hardworking, family and society-oriented man with highest moral standards. He was always willing to go an extra mile just to help a friend or even a stranger. His cheerful personality always welcomed people with open arms. He was an amazing friend, brother and son and more than anything else, he was a wonderful human being.
Like an old saying ‘bad things happen to good people’, this young man was taken away from us on 25th of August in an ‘unexplained’ police encounter in Westminster, Colorado. We believe that Birendra has been a face of good part of our society, helpfulness and spirituality.
We believe that justice should be served in this tragedy. To serve this purpose, we would like to ask for a donation from those who know Birendra and simply from those who believe in the society of law and justice so that his family can get enough resources for the cost associated with the lawyer and funeral. We will greatly value your donation and ensure that we will fight very hard so that no other family has to go through a tragedy that Thakuri family had to endure.
