Please help Shawn recover from a life-changing accident.
On April 28th, 2015, Shawn was hit by a car while driving his motorcycle. The woman who hit him was 91 years old and failed to yield for a stop sign. Upon being hit, two people responded immediately. Shawn, miraculously stayed conscious, and was able to direct the individuals to make a tourniquet for his bleeding leg. Doctors have said it is a miracle he did not bleed out and die. They give credit to one of the responders and him for their quick thinking.
Shawn has undergone several surgeries, and will be undergoing many more. Currently, his left leg has been partially amputated.
He is a single dad with a young 14 year old daughter. This accident will keep him in the hospital for weeks, or possibly months. With work being rather physically demanding, it will be hard to return to it if that is even possibility. The woman's insurance has and will only cover little of the truly devastating damage that transpired, which is why we are asking for help.
