My Aunt Danni is in serious need of an emergency surgery. A surgery of a survival rate of only 50 percent! Talk about nerve wrecking!

The Doctors discovered a large infectious abscess on her neck going the middle of her spine from her c-5, down to T-1 , where the abscess deteriorated two bones, three discs, all while attached to her esophagus and trachea.

With my Auntie Danni(aka Adrianna Alessi), visiting from her home in Florida, the laughter and the enthusiastic vibes she brings, was always welcomed by us cousins.

Without this this surgery, Doctors determined that Auntie was be a quadriplegic in a matter of of just 2-3 weeks, and a survival rate of only 50% of spinal surgery!!!! She made it, the surgery was a success!

Success? Well yes, but also now equipped with a new cage, putty, plate and two bolts to help secure her neck. On top of this she will be wearing a neck brace until her next MRI in a month, which will determine if her neck is strong enough.

If her neck is not strong enough; another surgery, involving a steel rod and two more bolts in her neck will be required in order to function.

All the while she’s remaining positive and continues to recover. This is not an easy task, she also has to worry about bills and losing her home. At which point we decided, to add a go fund me since she has zero income.

Not being able to work, her two sisters fly to her defense, 1200 miles from their homes. Stepping away from their daily responsibilities. Her sisters Debbie and Denise painstakingly care for my aunt and prepare her home for what’s to come.

You all know the saying ‘prepare for the worst but hope for the best.’ Well that is exactly what they are doing now. All of which so our beloved aunt, sister, daughter, friend, mother of three children and two fur babies doesn’t lose her home of 26 years.

A home where a single mother struggled but gave her all to raise her three children.

A home which now houses her two amazing dogs. Calling them simply dogs doesn’t even do the justice of how important they are to her. Those dogs Gizmo(Gizzy) and Nala(Boop boops) are her family. They take care of each other and visit the doggie park daily. Another thing that has not been easy to maintain unfortunately.

They all live in Aunties artfully decorated and orchestrated home with many original pieces made by herself. To think she almost lost her her ability to be so creative and gets to continue to adorn; the world into a more beautiful place.

PLEASE help us save her home so she can continue to fight this on the home team. We all know our favorite teams have a better chance at home.
