Computers for Kids: Creating Equity
Tax deductible
On March 16, 2020, thousands of Alachua County children suddenly could no longer go to school because of COVID-19. Although our school system has tried to provide a way for children to continue learning from home, too many of these children don't have the resources to effectively use an online learning structure. Imagine being a child who doesn't have a computer at home, perhaps trying to keep up with schoolwork on the inadequate screen of your parent's phone. The opportunity gap in Alachua County was already considerable, and this pandemic has only made it worse. COVID-19 is disproportionally affecting people of color, including children who don't have the necessary devices to continue their schoolwork from home. Please help us as we strive for equity by supporting our efforts to supply these children with the tools they need to succeed!
This is urgent! These children are already behind!
Thank you for your support!
Computers for Kids will supply identified Title 1 students with basic laptops that will enable them to continue their schoolwork through access to Google Classroom.
