Help Bean Get Her Surgery!

Cora lives in CA and often helps feed and take care of some of the stray kitties around her home. She was outside one night when she noticed a little black kitten that wasn't putting one of her back legs on the ground. When she got closer, she realized that the leg was bent at a completely wrong angle. She took her to the vet the next morning to get scans done, and sure enough, little Bean's leg is in pretty bad shape. The vet had to refer out to a specialist to see if Bean's leg could be operated on or if complete amputation was the best route. Either way, Bean is looking at a pretty hefty bill. A donor has already taken care of the $243 preliminary costs to get the first round of x-rays and FIV/FELV tests done and Bean in a temporary cast. Currently, operation costs alone are estimated to be $3,000. In addition to the operation costs, we are also looking at medicines, spaying, vaccinations, and after-care for Bean. We will share all receipts for any services rendered, and any funds raised will go directly to Bean's care. If we receive any funds over what Bean requires, we will donate them to the Humane Society of York County, where Erin lives. Erin is helping Cora organize this fundraiser for Bean's care. As of now, we should know by end of the day on January 26th the exact cost of surgery.

Bean is the absolute sweetest kitten. Even with a giant cast as big as her body, she does not stop purring. Everyone that meets her falls in love immediately.
