Cancer Screening Camp

Dear Family and Friends,
Hope you are having a great start to the new year.
I’m writing to share with you an incredible opportunity for compassion and I'm hoping for all your support.
Two years ago, I started a nonprofit called Yellow Pomelo which worked on improving health conditions in rural India by connecting doctors with patients in remote villages through telemedicine. Today, the program continues to reach several villages with a total population of over 10,000.
As you all know, cancer has been on the rise in India. Unfortunately some us have seen it affect our loved ones. So, this year I decided to expand our preventive care efforts by spreading cancer awareness and conducting screening camps in rural India.
Our first Cancer Screening camp will be held on February 20th and 21st, 2016 in Chataparru , India. Led by doctors and a team of 20 members from Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad and with the help of local volunteers (family, friends and volunteers), the camp aims to screen approximately 1000 people where the doctors will perform diagnostic tests which include Mammograms, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Pap smear.
In order to conduct this camp, I need your help. We need to raise a minimum of $7000. Your kindness and generosity will help bring us one step closer to saving lives.
There are many ways to make a tax deductible contribution:
a) Online through Gofundme .
b) Online through paypal .
c) By sending a check payable to Yellow Pomelo, 1309 S. Mary Avenue, Suite #208, Sunnyvale, CA 94087
d) Wire Transfer - Please contact me for details.
Also, please check with your employer about employee gift-match program. Every dollar adds towards our goal.
Thank you in advance for giving what you can!
I will update the website with the details on how the funds were used. Any additional funds collected will go towards future camps.
Once again thank you all so much and wish you all a very Happy New Year!
Best,
Pratik
