Hey there friends and family,
My name is Adam Kaokept and I am the son of the owner of the original Thai BBQ Restaurant in Las Vegas. For over 20 years, I had watched my sweet, hard-working mother turn a small pizza shack into one of the best Thai restaurants in Las Vegas. I took many friends there throughout the years, and my mother was always so generous in providing many meals to everyone. Sadly, due to the many challenges of running a restaurant, we had to close this once thriving part of our lives, and our family has been struggling eversince.
The property has been slowly rampaged by vagrants and squatters, and despite all the efforts of securing the building, three days ago, the building caught on fire. From my understanding, the back part of the roof is gone and the kitchen is a mess. My mother was using the space for storage (after having to sell her house), so there were several things inside that we have yet to recover. What is even worse is the building and her possessions were not insured.
I would like to ask your help to help my mother. The money we raise will go into covering the costs from the fire department who came to end the fire, moving costs (truck, boxes/supplies, etc.) for whatever we can recover, a storage unit where we can put what we can salvage away, and construction that will need to happen. Any donation will be extremely helpful.
