International Men’s Day 2020 Thursday the 19th of November 2020
Staff at EDAN Lincs are celebrating International Men’s Day as this is a great opportunity to reach out to those men in our lives whether that be our Fathers, Brothers, Uncles, Nephews, Sons, Friends, Boyfriends, Partner, Husbands, Colleagues or even a stranger.
We have chosen this event due to male suicide being the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the country. Edan Lincs are on a mission to highlight Male suicides and in an effort to reduce them they are encouraging you to help.
We know it’s harder for Men to talk about Mental Health, to open up and be honest with someone …anyone.
Edan Lincs want you to join us, stand with us and “Thank a man in your life that’s made a difference” remind him of his worth. You never know you may even save a life.
To Mark International Men’s Day we have set up a go fund me page to raise ring fenced funds specifically for males accessing our service, these funds will allow our staff to provide financial support to male victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence.
If you are blessed to have a male in your life that you wish to enter in to our EDAN Lincs “Thank a Man 2020” competition then please email for an application form. There is a minimum entry fee of £5.00 (as a suggested donation) payable via the Gofundme page. All nominations will receive a letter of acknowledgment and a "Lego Superman Keyring" with the winner being announced early December. Remember you can nominate any male for any reason. You can thank as many men as you wish for a bargain £5.00 each. We would love to see Men nominating the Men in their lives also so lets all get nominating and thank those men in our world who deserve some recognition. Join us, participate and spread some thanks, love and admiration this International Men’s Day 2020. It's time to stop taking our men for granted. Alternatively you can simply donate to the cause.
