Hello Beloveds-
On March 16th, 2020, Sarah Becker Skincare was ordered to close our doors and cease services due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Now, almost 3 months later, Governor Newsom has extended shelter-in-place for San Francisco until May 31.
There are 4 phases of reopening, and salons (skin care studios are considered a "salon") & gyms are included in Phase 3, due to the 6 feet apart requirements.
At this point, the city is in Phase 2a - moving toward Phase 2b.
I am praying Phase 3 will come sooner than later but the government officials are saying it is likely months away.
I learned that for studios such as mine, including massage therapy studios, spas and nail salons, we are likely looking at reopening in August.
Unfortunately, according to San Francisco law, I will need to extend my studio closure until mid-August, at the least.
I am truly thankful to those of you who have reached out to support me
through purchasing retail products and beyond.
That being said, through these retail sales, I am making a mere fraction of what is needed to cover the expenses of being owner and sole employee of a small business in San Francisco.
There are rents to cover & insurance to pay -among many other expenses (taxes being one of the highest).
I have resisted asking for help,
but because of the shelter-in-place extension
I feel it's time.
I would be incredibly humbled and grateful for any aid you might feel comfortable providing SBSC.
I feel it is my duty to continue providing you with top-notch services.
I have yet to receive any assistance from the government and have been told that this is not guaranteed.
Sarah Becker Skincare far exceeds being merely a career for me.
My beloved company is a channel to express my passions of
service, commitment and creativity.
My clients are at the heart of this. I love you all!
