Thank you for your cervix, Florence!

Seven years after founding the Vagina Museum, Florence Schechter has stepped down as Director. Under her leadership, the Vagina Museum has come so far: from a tweet and a kitchen table project to a globally-recognised museum welcoming tens of thousands of visitors a year!

Over these seven years, the Vagina Museum has faced many challenges. The pandemic, unstable premises, online abuse and of course a hefty dose of patriarchal backlash. Florence has faced all of these challenges with grace, defiance and a (vertical) smile - and we're still here to prove it!

Florence has proved that nothing is impossible and everything is quim-possible. As the (beef) curtain falls on seven years of service, we're celebrating everything she has achieved. We're raising £4,900 - £700 for each of the seven years of dedicated cervix. These funds will help ease the transition period as both Florence and the Vagina Museum enter our exciting new phases.
