Ms. Lyllye Reynolds-Parker is a beloved elder in the Black community at University of Oregon and in Lane County. In her career as a student advisor, she touched the lives of countless students. Ms. Lyllye's community has raised $75,000 to provide a downpayment for her to buy her first home for her and her sister. We invite people still wanting to help to help us match that $75,000 and bring her monthly mortgage payment even lower.
In the U.S., Black people’s income is 58 percent of the income of white people and their wealth is 10 percent of white people’s wealth. Additionally, in the state of Oregon, white homeownership is twice the rate of Black homeownership. Help us build equity in the Black community and give back to a woman who has given so much to others.
