We want to say thank you.
A group of like-minded people from Mullingar & Longford have come together to try to raise money to say thank you to the wonderful staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar.
It is an extremely trying time for our healthcare workers and Westmeath is a particularly busy location for COVID-19 cases. Serving the Longford & Westmeath area, the staff in Mullingar hospital are going above and beyond working 12-hour shifts in really difficult circumstances.
As a community, we want to say thank you!
After consulting with management and staff of the hospital it was decided that the money raised would go towards a hospital gym. Before the Coronavirus the staff were fundraising for gym equipment and obviously that has come to a halt now.
We think this is a nice way to say thank you and it is for all the staff of the hospital from the consultants, nurses, attendants, porters, kitchen staff, maintenance - we want to make sure they all know how appreciative we are!
